I create sculptures using fused glass and vintage typewriter parts.

For the glass work, the fusing sometimes requires multiple firings in the kiln. The first fuse melts the glass pieces together. A second firing is needed to shape the glass by melting over a mold form.  

The metal section of the body is made from select parts all soldered together. 

Finally, I join the glass and metal sections together with wire clasps specially made for each creature since each body shape varies in size.
